A TAX POLICY FOR GROWTH AND COMPETITIVENESS

Participants include Māris Kučinskis, Prime Minister of Latvia, as well as other representatives of the governments of Latvia and Lithuania, heads of Latvian local governments, non-governmental organisations, businessmen and academics.

The forum agenda includes a discussion between government ministers and businessmen on the challenges of Latvia's tax system. In the second part of the forum, heads of state revenue services of all three Baltic States and leaders of business organisations will discuss the challenge of shaping a tax policy that fosters competitive economic growth.

Emily Sinnott, Senior Economist at the World Bank, will give a presentation on Latvia's tax system, and Marek Helm, Director General of the Estonian Tax and Customs Board, will share his experience.
